When it is sunny outside, it is illegal not to go plein air painting. At least I convinced myself to use the opportunity and go on a hike to one of my favorite places on the Coast - Cascade Head. I packed my paints, grabbed a couple of panels and went. All my painting stuff fits in a backpack, I got quite light weight over the years. Most of the time I sit on the ground and don't even carry my tripod. I had three hours left before I had to pick up my daughter from daycare - plenty of time. It was so worth it. Amazing trail with pine trees and salmon berries - yum, and amazing view at the end of it!
