New York City or a Cultural Fix

I didn't post in the middle of January as I promised. Bad!

Before January is over I would like to share with you my New York City experience. For the first time in my life I visited the East Coast. I must say it literally freshed me up.

I learned that extremely severe winter can cause roads to be closed down. And my Siberian background didn't help to stay warm. Humidity and cold are not for sissies!

Broadway Plays are amazing, no doubt about it. I went to "A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder", "The Commons of Pensacola", and "Pippin" and enjoyed every second of them. Quality performance and pleasure for your eyes and ears.

MoMA, Guggenheim and the Metropolitan Museum of Art are the must! I spent hours in them and I'm not going to bore you with the list of pieces I saw. What impressed me the most in NYC were art galleries in Chelsea - huge spaces and minimum of art pieces. I guess it gives you an opportunity to focus on one particular piece of art.

It is hard not to fall in love with New York. And I think I left a piece of my heart there... But it was so good to come back home - to the open spaces of the West Coast.
