6" x 6"

That is the smallest painting I've ever painted. 6x6 seems to be the most common size for many daily painters. I am not a daily painter yet, but it would be great if I could be disciplined enough to paint every day. We'll see where it goes... It was interesting to work small. I spent the same amount of time as on bigger paintings.

Strong tonal value contrast is the main goal of this painting. Black plums are balanced and contrasted with the brighter vase and a high-key background.
