Sometimes a still life happens almost effortlessly. That one is an example. I didn't have to work long on a set-up. It just worked right away. How can I make that happen more often??

I really like values in this study. One Rule of Composition, which Greg Albert nicely describes in his book "The Simple Secret to Better Painting", works. The One Rule is: Never make any two intervals the same. The study is made up of mostly mid-value, some black and a bit of white.
